HR & Admin Officer
What are we looking for:
Carisle Media is seeking a dedicated and experienced HR & Admin Officer to join our team and oversee the administrative and human resources functions of our company. The HR & Admin Officer will be responsible for managing employee records, updating databases, creating and enforcing policies, and assisting in the recruitment and onboarding process.
In addition, the ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and administrative procedures, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills. They should be able to handle confidential information with discretion and work with different types of people and departments.
In this role, you will:
- Maintain physical and digital personnel records like employment contracts, PTO requests, and payroll data.
- Update internal databases with new hire information, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
- Create and distribute guidelines and FAQ documents about company policies and procedures.
- Prepare reports and presentations on HR-related metrics like turnover, retention, and performance.
- Publish and remove job ads on various platforms and screen resumes of candidates.
- Schedule and conduct interviews and assessments and provide feedback to applicants.
- Prepare and send offer letters, contracts, and starter packs to new hires and coordinate their orientation and training.
- Develop and implement training and development programs for employees and managers.
- Respond to employee queries and requests regarding benefits, leaves, and other HR matters.
- Proven experience as an HR & Admin Officer or a similar role with a strong portfolio showcasing your HR and administrative skills.
- Proficiency in HR and office software such as MS Office, Google Suite, HRIS, or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and administrative procedures.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Professional and ethical mindset with a respect for confidentiality and diversity.
- HR skills: must be able to perform various HR tasks such as recruitment, onboarding, training, and policy creation and enforcement.
- Administrative skills: must be able to manage and update employee records, databases, and documents and prepare reports and presentations.
- Interpersonal skills: must be able to communicate effectively and respectfully with employees, managers, and external parties and handle employee queries and requests.
